What it catches
The live beta is tuned for fully AI-generated images, including synthetic product-damage photos. In our 72-image validation set, this engine caught 28 of 30 AI-generated examples.
What it misses
It is not an edit detector. In the same validation set it caught 0 of 6 manipulated real photos. A low-risk result does not prove authenticity.
Privacy posture
The scan runs in your browser. Janus does not receive or store the uploaded image. Do not upload sensitive personal data, identity documents, or images involving children.

ClaimCheck is a Janus Compliance portfolio tool. It is not legal advice, not a fraud determination, and not a production merchant-risk system. The model used for this public beta is published for non-commercial use, so this page is offered as a free research demonstration.
How accurate is this?
We tested our own detector, Claude vision alone, a commercial detection API, and free open-source detectors on the same 72-image refund-fraud validation set. The engine on this page was the best free option in that run. It is a demonstration, not a production system, and it does not reliably catch edited photographs.
